There are several distinct categories of steel fencing we install in Sydney. Tubular steel fencing uses round or flat bar infill in a steel post-and-rail frame — common for front fencing, pool barriers, and commercial perimeter fencing. Modular Colorbond panel fencing uses pre-formed corrugated steel panels on steel C-section rails — the dominant residential boundary fencing choice across Western Sydney for its speed of installation and clean finish. Security mesh fencing (358 mesh, also called prison mesh) uses a welded steel wire grid with apertures too small to allow hand or foot grip — specified for schools, government facilities, and commercial sites requiring higher perimeter security.

For coastal Sydney properties within 1km of salt water, we specify marine-grade powder coat or aluminium-framed alternatives, as standard steel will corrode prematurely in salt air environments regardless of coating quality. We assess the exposure category of your site during the quote and specify accordingly. All steel fencing we install is powder-coated with a two-pack polyester system, and posts are hot-dip galvanised before powder coating for maximum corrosion protection.
