The Hills Shire Council follows NSW State Environmental Planning Policy for exempt development fencing. Most residential boundary fences under 1.8m don't require a DA, but front fences visible from the street and pool fencing always have specific rules. We assess compliance requirements during the free quote and handle all the paperwork if council approval is needed. Pool fencing in the Hills Shire requires AS1926.1-compliant installation followed by council inspection and certification — we arrange both as part of our pool fencing service.
