A standard broom-finished concrete driveway in Sydney costs approximately $80–$110 per m². Exposed aggregate is $100–$150 per m² due to the seeding and reveal process. Pavers are $120–$200 per m² depending on the product. These prices include formwork, reinforcing mesh, concrete supply and finishing — we provide fixed-price written quotes after a free measure.

What is the difference between travertine and bluestone for pool surrounds?

Travertine is a warm cream/beige limestone that stays cool underfoot in the Sydney sun — ideal around pools. It is softer than bluestone and can chip on edges if not capped properly. Bluestone is harder, cooler in tone (grey-blue), and more durable but retains heat more in direct sun. Both need to be in a honed or sandblasted finish (not polished) for pool areas to ensure slip resistance.

Do you do paving repairs?

Yes. We repair cracked or sunken concrete slabs by mud jacking or resurfacing. For pavers, we can relay sunken sections, re-bed individual pavers, and re-point joints. We also do concrete grinding to remove trip hazards on lifted slab joints without full replacement.

How long after pouring concrete can you walk on a new driveway?

Accepted Answer

You can walk on new concrete after 24–48 hours. Light vehicle traffic is suitable after 7 days. Full load-bearing strength is reached at 28 days. We apply a curing compound on completion to protect the surface and maintain moisture during curing. We will advise on exact timing based on weather conditions at the time of your pour.
