How We Install Glass Pool Fencing in Sydney

A quality glass pool fence installation begins before the first hole is drilled. We attend your Sydney property for a free measure and assess the pool coping material (concrete, sandstone, travertine, tile), the available width for spigot placement, and any corners or level changes that require custom solutions. We then prepare a detailed quote with spigot positions marked, gate location confirmed, and the exact panel configuration to achieve a clean frameless look.

On installation day our team uses diamond-core drill bits — sized precisely to 70mm to match the spigot diameter — to bore clean, round holes in the pool coping. Spigots are set in either epoxy adhesive or non-shrink cementitious grout depending on the coping material. After a minimum overnight cure, 12mm AS/NZS 2208 toughened glass panels are inserted into the spigots and the friction-fit rubber gaskets are tightened to hold the panels firmly at the correct height and alignment. The self-closing, self-latching gate is fitted last and tested to verify it closes and latches under its own spring tension in all positions.

We conduct a pre-handover compliance check against AS 1926.1-2012 — measuring the barrier height at multiple points, verifying the non-climbable zone on the external face, and confirming the gate latch sits at the required 1500mm height on the pool side. We then coordinate the accredited certifier inspection and attend if required to address any minor adjustments. Most of our Sydney installations pass the compliance inspection on the first visit.
